Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Elizabeth came over to the UK in 2003 to read for an undergraduate degree in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at the University of Birmingham. She graduated in July 2007 with a MEng degree.

She continues to read part-time for a PhD in vehicle safety while appointed as a Research Associate in the Birmingham Automotive Safety Centre.

She is currently involved in the UK Co-operative Crash Injury Study (CCIS).
